Speciality Rubbers
By J.A. BrydsonSpeciality rubbers account for 15 of world rubber consumption in financial terms, in spite of providing just 4 by weight. Their most important property is generally a high heat resistance, frequently required in combination with hydrocarbon oil resistance. Other key properties may include flexibility at low temperatures and long service life.
In this report 16 categories of speciality rubbers are considered, with information on properties, compounding and applications. Much additional data is supplied by the 409 abstracts selected from the Polymer Library, which complete the report.
