This new conference for 2001 investigated the application of rubber and plastics materials in all types of transportation including rail, road, air, in fact any mode of transport which moves people or merchandise from A to B. Particular emphasis was placed on fire, electrical properties and durability which would reflect the selection of polymers and polymer compounds used in these environments.
