Cellular Polymers IV
The fourth Cellular Polymers conference, held at Rapra Technology in June 1997, aimed to present a balanced view of the cellular polymer industry and its raw materials. The commonality between processors and users of foamed polymers, whether they be polyvinylchloride, polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, silicon or polyurethane-based materials, was this meetings basic theme. The commercial opportunities for structural and flexible foams are growing and this forum gathered together representatives from industry and academia to discuss the progress of foam technology. This enabled a balance between the theoretical and practical aspects to be achieved.
Cellular Polymers IV provided the ideal setting for the interchange of experience of the many acknowledged experts attending the conference. Speakers from USA, Canada, Romania, Italy, The Netherlands and the UK discussed the science and technology of cellular polymers.
The comprehensive programme offered presentations on many aspects of cellular polymer materials (see right). The papers complete with figures and tables from the official conference book of papers - a record of this important meeting for the cellular polymer industry.
