SHROPSHIRE, UK (February 17, 2010) - iSmithers, formerly the Information division within independent testing, research and consulting organisation Smithers Rapra has announced the addition of Dow Chemical's Greg Bond to the speaking panel for their forthcoming REACH USA conference in Chicago, 13-14 April.

Mr Bond joins what promises to be hotly debated session on North American Chemicals Policy, giving a paper entitled "A new path forward: A collaborative path to product stewardship". The session also includes presentations from the Environmental Protection Agency, Staples and the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC).

The eighth in the series of REACH conferences organised by iSmithers and sister company Smithers RAPRA is being developed to coincide with advancing deadlines for the submission of dossiers to ECHA and the widespread concerns over the implementation of the new harmonised system of classification, labelling and packaging of substances (CLP) - both of which have a November 2010 time limit.
